Mt. Yale
February 5, 2007

Partners: Frank Konsella, Pete Sowar

Route Description: Began at Denny Creek trailhead which is actually at the bottom of Delaney Gulch. Skied south face.

Data: Began at trialhead (9,910') around 9 am. Denny Creek actually follows up Delaney Gulch. Followed route to summit. Summited around 1:45 (14,196'). Skied from summit. Then hiked a bit down to look at Avalanche Gulch which was going to mean hiking down too far. So hiked back up to where we took off skis and skied a chute down. Skied South face down toward Denny Gulch, then cut over to the west back to Delaney. Took off skis to traverse or hike up only. Was able to ski all the way back to car. Back to car a bit before 5 pm. Total vert climbed and skied: 4286'. Total time: less than 8 hrs.
